This is a community fundraising effort organized by a group of volunteers from the neighborhood. The City of Toronto will manage the renovation.
We are not connected to, and were not involved in, the renovation of the parkette near Aroma (the “Montclair Parkette”). This is a separate project.
We do not intend to pave over the entire park with bricks. The bricks wil be installed in a decorative way that will not interfere with park and playground use.
If your name is longer than 9 characters, we will work with the engraver to make it fit.
The park is the playground in the area between Milbank and Relmar. There is a path to it going down from Spadina near the bus stop at Strathearn.
You may contact us at RebuildOurPark@gmail.com. Checks should be made to the City of Toronto and mailed to:

For a donation of $1000 you will receive a large brick with up to 6 lines of engraving.
These are examples of our small (4x8) and medium (8x8) bricks.
We’re selling bricks!
The bricks in the picture are installed in the Glen Cedar park in Cedarvale. We will be selling similar engraved bricks to raise money for the Forest Hill Village park.
Our sign is up in the park!
Big thank you to Nargess who designed and produced it. Go check it out!

what is the new park going to look like?

That’s a great question! We have a few restrictions but we are fairly open to suggestions from the community. One of the options that have been raised so far is to incorporate natural elements in the play structures. Examples of natural playgrounds can be seen here.
Where is this new park? Is it the parkette near the old Blockbuster under construction?

Anonymous
No, It’s on the other side of Spadina. As you go down to the ravine on the west side of Spadina, just south of Strathearn, there is a playground that is in bad need of some TLC. Please follow us! We want people to help design the new park and help us raise some money.
The Brick-by-Brick Logo
We are using the brick-by-brick logo that was originally designed by Ronnie Lebow for Glen Cedar park.
